LG X300 launches and it's hot

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: Mar 8, 2010 5:21 pm

I am a sucker for a thin notebook or netbook. I like to travel light when I am on the road and really thin notebooks are the way to go for me, assuming they don't shed too much performance or cost too much.

LG has announced the official launch of its new ultra-thin X300 notebook. We first spied this notebook at CES back in January and it's as sexy now as it was then. The machine has an 11.6-inch LCD, weighs 970g, and is 17.5mm thick.

The machine gets a reflective keyboard and a borderless touch pad. The CPU is a 2GHz Intel Menlow unit and the notebook has 2GB of RAM. Storage is to a 128GB SSD and the power sipping CPU has no fan, which should mean dead silent operation. Windows 7 Home Premium is the OS and the machine gets a webcam and 3G modem. The rig will ship in Asia in March with other countries coming later. There is no word on pricing right now.
