Panasonic Lumix G10 micro four thirds camera unveiled

By: (more) | Cameras News | Posted: Mar 8, 2010 5:23 pm

DSLR cameras are great for capturing quality images and having a lens available for just about every need. The big issue is that DSLRs are often difficult to use and bulky. There are now alternatives to the DSLR on the market that still use interchangeable lenses called micro four thirds cameras.

Panasonic has unveiled its latest micro four thirds camera today called the G10. Panasonic claims that the G10 is the world's lightest micro four thirds camera with a view finder. The camera ships with a 14-42mm lens and has a 12.1MP image sensor.

The camera has a wealth of automatic features and modes and uses MEGA OIS image stabilization. The G10 can record 720p HD video in several formats including Motion JPEG. Pricing and availability are unknown right now; Panasonic will announce both 30 days ahead of shipping.
