Samsung E6 digital reader heads to US

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Mar 10, 2010 5:51 pm

I think eReaders are cool devices and I particularly like the Kindle and Nook. I also think that many people considering an eReader will buy the iPad with pre-orders for it starting this week.

Samsung has an eReader called the E6 that was shown off at CES and has been in Europe already. The electronics giant has announced that it will be bringing the E6 to the US soon. Samsung is mum on the exact date the E6 will land and doesn't offer pricing for the device either.

The E6 has a 6-inch e-ink display with a 600 x 800 resolution and 8 shades of gray. It also features support for common electronic document formats and text-to-speech technology and has WiFi along with Bluetooth built-in. Internal storage is 2GB and the E6 has a microSD card slot as well.
