Simulating Realistic 'Hair' demo with GeForce GTX 480 at GDC 2010

By: (more) | Trade Shows News | Posted: Mar 15, 2010 12:42 pm

During the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco last week, NVIDIA was showing off a demo showcasing just how well its upcoming GeForce GTX 480 'Fermi' video card can draw realistic hair.

Nicole Scott from Netbooknews was on hand to shot a video of the DirectX 11 based 'Hair' demo that is used to showcase the power and precision of the upcoming GPU from NVIDIA. In the demo we see how the free moving hair reacts to light changes, wind flowing through the hair and more. It's really impressive and worth a play of the video below.

I always love seeing this technology demonstrations just before a product launch!
