Archos is mostly known for its line of PMPs and MIDs. The company also showed off a cool tablet late last year called the Archos 9 running Windows that looked great. Word has come in today that a new machine and updates for the tablet are coming soon.

A new notebook from Archos is set to launch in April called the Archos Notebook A13Ps. The machine is slim and uses the Intel D510 CPU and Windows 7 Home Premium. Other specs are unknown, but considering the model number a 13-inch screen is a virtual given.

The Archos 9 tablet is also getting an update to help it compete with the iPad better. The beastie will get a new Intel Atom Z515 CPU at 1.2GHz. Other features include a 17mm profile and a 9-inch touchscreen. The updated machine is due this month.
