Albatron 21.5-inch Optical Touch LCD becomes Windows 7 Compatible

By: (more) | Software News | Posted: Mar 19, 2010 1:08 pm

Towards the end of last year we were invited to the Albatron headquarters here in Taiwan to get a look at its range of Optical Touch display products. We were even able to record a video of the demonstration, which was uploaded to YouTube and you can view that here for a refresh or if you missed it back then. Shame on you if you did!

Just today, several months on, Albatron sent out an announcement that its 21.5-inch OTM215L1 optical multi-touch LCD monitor that is designed for home users has passed the WHQL test for Windows 7 this month. That means that it is now fully certified to work with Windows 7 and is obviously a pretty exciting development for the Taiwanese company that has been getting its nose into a whole range of new products and technologies over the past couple years or more.

We will pressure the folks over at Albatron a little to get us a review sample to play with. For further details, you can read the full press released that we posted over here.
