Rugged computers tend to spend lots of time in the outdoors and often are used in harsh environments where they will have to stand up to drops and bad weather. Logic instrument has unveiled a new rugged touchscreen computer called the FieldBook for rugged environments.

The machine runs Windows and has a 7-inch sunlight readable touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 600. The machine runs an Atom 1.6GHz processor and the touchscreen works when the user is wearing gloves.

Other features of the machine includes WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, camera, USB, Ethernet, a Barcode reader, and more. The machine promises up to five hours of runtime thanks to a pair of hot swappable batteries.
