Inno3D readying up non-reference GTX 470 with big cooler

By: (more) | Cases, Cooling & PSU News | Posted: Apr 7, 2010 2:21 pm

Some more details have come to light along with a bunch of pictures on Inno3D's upcoming variation to NVIDIA's GTX 470. It plans to bring a non-reference model to market dubbed the iChill GTX 470 Hawk.

As you can see from the CAD drawings above and below, this is the design of the aftermarket cooler Inno3D plans to pair up these model cards with.

The cooler comprises three 80 (or 90mm) fans nestled atop a large aluminum fin array with heat-pipes running to it from the heatsinks over the GPU, memory and VRM areas.

We're not yet sure of whether or not Inno3D plans to sell these models with higher than stock clock rates, nor do we know exactly when they'll become available.

The folks at Techpowerup also got hold of some other teasing images of Inno3D's warehouse, showing crate-loads of GeForce GTX 400s ready to have Inno3D's labels attached and whatnot before they head off to destinations all over the world.
