Netbooks to be graced with dual-core Atoms in Q2

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: Apr 14, 2010 10:16 am

During a earnings conference call reporting big profits for Q1 of this year, Intel's CEO Paul Otellini made mention that during Q2 of this year it plans to bring dual-core Atom chips out for netbooks.

Whilst we've seen a dual-core Atom available for nettops for a while now in the original D330 followed by the more power-friendly D510, netbooks have been left out of the dual-core action, but we should be seeing dual-core Atom powered netbooks starting to surface over the next few months which will be much welcomed, indeed.
