ASUS' EeeKeyboard now up for pre-order

By: (more) | Peripherals News | Posted: Apr 21, 2010 8:52 am

For the first time we are seeing concrete evidence that the launch of ASUS' EeeKeyboard is nigh with it being up for pre-order in the states.

Amazon has listed it for an asking price of $599 which fits with what we heard it would cost as far back as January this year.

A quick reminder on the specs; it's powered by an Atom N270 processor (1.6GHz), 1GB of DDR2 memory, 16GB SSD, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, Gigabit ethernet, HDMI out, integrated UWB receiver, a few USB 2.0 sockets and a 5-inshc sized LED-backlit multi-touch display with resolution of 800x480. It will run Windows XP Home out of the box.

No definitive word on a shipping date yet, but the fact it's gone up for pre-order is indicative the wait won't be long now.
