Jailbreak for the iPad Finally Live!
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AAAnd the iPad is finally jailbroken. As of a few minutes ago, Spirit Jailbreak is live. That is right you can head to SpiritJB.com and finally get all the same freedom on your iPad that you had on the iPhone!
Unfortunately for some the new jailbreak is not going to work, we tried it on our Windows 7 x64 install and got a very saddening error. When we moved to Windows XP (32bit) we were finally able to jailbreak our iPad! It seems that we were not the only Windows user to run into errors on 64-bit Windows. There are a large number of people reporting an Error c0000005. We will keep you up to date on progress and issues with this new jailbreak.
There is also a warning to be careful with the apps you install from Cydia as many are not meant for the iPad.
