Google acquires software maker, BumpTop

By: (more) | Business, Financial & Legal News | Posted: May 3, 2010 11:26 am

Google has just swallowed up another software maker; this one a canadian based mob known as BumpTop which is known for its 3D desktop environment for both Windows and Mac.

You may have noticed this software bundled with select Sapphire and HIS Radeon graphics cards. It allows the user to interact with their media in a new way, giving a 3D desk-like view that supports multi-touch as well.

If you think you could make good use of it you should be quick to head over to BumpTop's website and download it while it's still free and accessible; apparently only 'till the end of this week.

It is not known how much Google handed over for this acquisition.
