Through its PC Power & Cooling division OCZ has introduced a new series of high performance power supplies to market today.

Dubbed the Silencer Mk II, this range of PSUs can be purchased in wattages of 500, 650, 750 and 950. The entry level 500W model in the series gets an 80Plus Bronze rating, whilst the rest are stamped with and 80Plus Silver rating, indicative of meeting high efficiency standards.

Standard across the range is a single large 12V rail and a thermally controlled 135mm double-ball bearing fan. The power supplies have standard compability for ATX12V and EPS12V and are given an MTBF of 100,000 hours.

The 500 and 650W models come with a 5 year warranty, whilst the 750 and 950W models come with a 7 year warranty. Pricing is yet to be disclosed.
