ASUS going all out with 12-inch Eee PC 1215N

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: May 7, 2010 11:32 am

Waiting for an ASUS Eee PC that cuts no corners? The upcoming 1215N is going to be the closest to the mark with a very impressive specs list.

This 12-inch next-gen ION equipped netbook will sport one of the new dual core Atom processors that Intel is yet to officially launch (likely in June) and is said to be clocked at 1.5GHz.

The inclusion of the 16 cores new gen ION together with this processor means 1080p video playback without breaking a sweat (and potentially a few modern games, too), whilst battery life will be looked after with the inclusion of Optimus which promises seamless switching between the Intel GMA 3150 and NVIDIA G318 GPUs depending on load scenarios.

Apparently the 1215 will become available by mid July for around 550-600 bucks US.
