More features being released for Android 2.2
There's a lot of excitement swirling around Android's next operating system, Android 2.2 codenamed "Froyo." Speed improvements of 3-5 times over the previous OS and other features have already been rolled out, but Android hasn't stopped making their phone owners drool yet.
In addition to the previously released features like full Flash support, Android 2.2 will allow USB tethering which will provide easy data transfer to your laptop as well as the ability to use your Android device as a WiFi hotspot. There is no word yet on whether these features will cost extra or be able to be turned off by the carriers themselves.
These new features put even more pressure on Apple and others to catch up and will make Android owners an even happier lot than they already are. Froyo is expected to launch at the Google I/O event next week.
