Acer has several playing cards up its sleeve for Computex this year, kicking off June 1st, one of which will bring something interesting to the netbook / mobile device markets if this report has any truth to it.

Apparently Acer is gearing up to launch several new devices that will use Chrome OS, Google's web-focused operating system designed primarily for netbooks. It is not known at this point what the devices will be exactly. While Chrome OS was developed with netbooks in mind, there's been whispers that it might be introduced on other mobile device types including ARM processor based products, too.

We're yet to find out how exactly Google's Chrome OS will be integrated with the company's Android platform (if that even occurs). Google's CEO, Eric Schmidt has mentioned in several interviews in the past that these products will be merging 'at some point'.
