iPhone OS 4.0 Beta includes data tethering

Apple's latest beta of their iPhone OS, beta 4, has just recently been released to developers. One of the things that are getting Apple fans geeked up is the inclusion of AT&T internet tethering which is something iPhone WWAN users have been clamoring for for quite some time.
After a quick network settings reset, the guys at Engadget were able to get tethering up and running. Although this beta is only available to developers and seems to be working, it's inclusion into the final 4.0 OS is still up in the air due to AT&T's statement a few weeks ago that they were waiting on better network performance before making tethering available to the public. With the recent news of Android phones getting tethering in Android 2.2 though, this may be pushing Apple's hand just a bit.
