Poll Results - Who makes the best Internet browser?

By: (more) | Software News | Posted: May 20, 2010 8:50 pm

We saw a better voting turn out this week - you folks lifted your game. Over 1,800 people voted on our previous poll and we asked you who makes the best Internet browser.

Somewhat matching our website traffic reports (and in hindsight thinking this poll will be a little skewed), TweakTown readers voted that Mozilla, the makers of Firefox, make the best Internet browser. It took 51% of the votes compared to 47% of our readers who use Firefox to access this website.

In second place came Google for its Chrome browser and it ended up taking 24% of the votes compared to 15% of our readers who use Chrome here. Third place went to Opera for its browser who took 11% of the votes compared to the 5% of our readers who use Opera and Opera Mini. Microsoft ended up coming forth, followed by Apple in fifth place.

For the actual numbers, go here. In our latest poll, we want to know your thoughts on the very recently announced Google TV platform. Let us know! Please go here to vote!
