By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: May 20, 2010 9:42 pm

Rugged computers are really important in many environments. For instance in the medical industry where users are up and moving around all day machines are prone to be dropped. This is the environment where you tend to find many rugged tablets because they can be used with one hand and are able to survive some drops.

Motion Computing has announced a pair of new rugged tablet PCs with new features and more performance. The new models include the F5v Tablet PC and C5v MCA. Both of the machines are the first slate tablets to have Intel Core vPro processors inside.

Both feature 160GB HDDs and up to 4GB of RAM. Batteries are hot swappable and the screens are made from durable Corning Gorilla glass. An optional 3MP camera is also available and the tablets can be fitted with Gobi2000 broadband modems. Both of the new tablets are available now.
