The Chinese manufacturer Eken has released an affordable tablet option in the form of the Eken M003 tablet/ebook reader. This Android 1.6 powered device sports an 800x480 resolution 8" LCD display, 600MHz VIA processor, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, 128MB RAM, and an SD card slot for up to 32GB storage.

While these specs may not be impressive to some, the price tag may change your mind. It is being sold for $240 USD a pop at the Chinagrabber website with a 2GB SD card for onboard storage. Throw in a 32GB card and you have yourself a decent little machine for a fraction of the cost of the higher power (and priced) alternatives. The M003 is available in pink, white, or black for your color customizing needs.
