Cooler Master unleashes HAF X packed full of goodies

By: (more) | Cases, Cooling & PSU News | Posted: May 26, 2010 1:01 pm

Cooler Master took wraps off its latest HAF (High Air Flow) full tower chassis today which it calls the HAF X. The second you lay eyes on the beast you know you are looking at a high end piece of equipment and Cooler Master has thrown as many of its tricks as possible at this one to deliver without dissapointment.

The beast weighs in at just over 14Kg, using steel material and a sleek all-black (inside and out) paint job. Measurements of the case come in at 230 (W) x 550 (H) x 590 (D) mm.

Some of its many features include full tool-free installation, unique cable management system, front I/O panel with USB 3.0 support as well as eSATA, USB 2.0, FireWire and audio ports and a large side window to show off your components.

The cooling system is also very impressive with room for not one, but two 200mm fans up top, 230mm at the front for intake, 200mm on the side and 140mm for rear exhaust. That oughtta be more than enough to keep your 3-Way SLI / CrossFireX systems content.

Although the case isn't ready for mass market just yet, it will be just around the corner (whispers of June). In the meantime, we were able to get hold of an early sample for a good lookover and were highly impressed, especially at the $199 price point Cooler Master plans it to hit shelves at.

You can also find a bunch more coverage on it via the below links and CM's official press release can be found here.
