Kno Tablet demo at D8

At the D8 conference this morning a demo was run for the Kno, a tablet computer aimed at replacing textbooks, pens, charts, and even notebooks. The two 14" screens of the Kno are meant to be similar to current textbook form, and the developers of the Kno state that the four leading textbook publishers ands others are on board and could have 90% of textbooks available for the device when it launches.

 

The Kno uses Nvidia's Tegra processor, has a stylus for notetaking and other duties, boasts 6-8 hours of battery life, and supports Bluetooth keyboards on has an onscreen keyboard as well.

 

More details on the Kno, including a possible launch date and price, are expected later this summer but most sources expect the Kno to come in under $1000.
