Announcing new Macintosh focus

By: (more) | Posted: Apr 1, 2002 12:13 am

In recent years, Macintosh, or Macs as many of us like to call them have been virtually swept under the carpet by many PC enthusiasts and developers alike. People like to think of Macs as being only suitable for users who are totally new to computers and just want an easy-to-use, good looking and amazingly colourful machine to check their email and so on. However, there is much more to the Mac than its pretty enclosure and user-friendly operating system. Professional graphic artists around the world turn to the Mac for their graphic editing tools due to the abundance of excellent software available on the platform. Game developers have ported some of the latest and greatest games to the Mac such as Civilisation 3, The Sims and Warcraft III. Hardware-wise, manufacturers such as nVidia have announced million dollar deals with Apple to include their latest graphics cards in Macintosh computers.

Where is all this going you ask? Well, seeing as though there is already an overflow of PC related websites on the Internet, we have decided to move out of the PC arena altogether. TweakTown will now be solely concentrating on Apple Macintosh computers and its software. Within the next few weeks we will be going through a name change - We will be known as MacTown. We have some exciting things planned for the future and we hope that you will continue to support us as we venture into the exciting and active world of the Apple Macintosh.

Aren't you thankful it is the 1st of April in Australia - Happy April Fools everyone, especially to the 0.20% of our readers who use Macs. TweakTown lives on!
