Asus whips out Eee 1201K packing AMD Geode NX1750 power

Asus has more netbooks that just about any other company. The firm has a netbook for every need or want that a consumer could have and it's hard to tell many of them apart. Asus has added a new Eee to its line today called the Eee 1201K.

This little netbook is notable for two big reasons. First, it has a 12.1-inch screen making it much larger than the typical Eee. The second thing is that the machine has an AMD Geode NX1750 CPU. That 12.1-inch screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768.

Other features include a paltry 1GB of DDR1 RAM, WiFi, and Bluetooth is optional. The machine comes with 160GB of storage with up to 320GB storage options. A 0.3MP webcam is built-in and the machine has a 6-cell battery that says two hours of run time. That battery life is horrible if accurate, but that could be a typo in the specs. Pricing and availability are unknown.
