SilverStone PS05 computer case debuts, no USB 3.0

By: (more) | Cases, Cooling & PSU News | Posted: Jun 11, 2010 5:04 pm

There have been several new computer cases unveiled over the last few weeks and one of the things that most of the higher-end new cases have in common is that they have been featuring front panel USB 3.0. I figured that a USB 3.0 port on the front was going to be seen on most cases.

SilverStone has announced a new chassis called the PS05 that looks good and has a robust cooling system. The downside is that the front panel gets only USB 2.0. The case is made from steel with plastic and mesh on the front. It has a quartet of external 5.25" bays and dual external 3.5" bays.

Inside the case are four internal 3.5-inch bays and the machine has a cooling system with five 120mm fans. Supported mainboards include ATX and micro ATX. Expansion cards up to 11" long will fit inside the case. Pricing and availability are unknown.
