Viewsonic debuts new VMP75 network media player

By: (more) | HT & Movies News | Posted: Jun 15, 2010 3:04 pm

Viewsonic has been moving into categories where it hasn't normally participated lately. The company offers the displays, TVs, and projectors that we saw from them for years and has recently moved into the netbook and notebook market with mixed results.

Today Viewsonic has announced a new digital media player called the VMP75. The device is very similar to the other streaming media players on the market. The device can stream Netflix on demand content and other content. It supports multiple formats for audio, video, and images.

Connectivity options on the device include HDMI, eSATA, Ethernet, optical audio out, and USB 2.0. The device also has WiFi connectivity and supports DLNA devices. The WiFi connectivity is only available with an optional adapter. The VMP75 will sell for $149.99 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon and Newegg right now.
