For a long time now, the cheapest way to get a Mac desktop was the little Mac mini. The device has moved along basically the same for a long time now, but that changed today.

Apple has debuted a new unibody Mac Mini and Engadget has laid hands on it for your unboxing perusal. The new mini measures 7.7" square and is 1.4" thick. It promises twice the graphics performance of previous models.

The little machine packs in a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 320GB HDD, 2GB of RAM and GeForce 320M graphics for $699. Engadget points out that the machine now has a built-in power supply and the new sexy aluminum housing. The downside is that the price grew by $100.
