Google makes available online YouTube Video Editing Tool

By: (more) | Software News | Posted: Jun 17, 2010 10:28 am

Google has now made it possible to edit your videos online with the YouTube Video Editor. One key point of focus in the development of this online video editing tool was of course ease of use and by looking at the demonstration video below, they've pulled that off really well.

The new facility is currently available through Google's TestTube website where YouTube engineers and developers test out new tools and get feedback on how they're doing.

Here's some of the highlights of what the new editor can do :-

• Combine multiple videos you've uploaded to create a new longer video
• Trim the beginning and/or ending of your videos
• Add soundtracks from our AudioSwap library of tens of thousands of songs
• Create new videos without worrying about file formats and publish them to YouTube with one click-no upload necessary

All that and more without the need to install any additional software. More details on it over at the YouTube blog page.
