If you are one of those that have 4G service but travel out where 3G is still king, this may be the mobile broadband modem for you. Sprint and Sierra Wireless have released the new Sprint 3G/4G USB 250U mobile broadband modem.

This modem automatically switches between 3G and 4g data speeds depending on which coverage is available With a slim design and 180 degree rotating connector, the modem supports CDMA Dual-band 800/1900Mhz, GPS 1.5 Ghz L-Band and WiMAX2.5Ghz. Two LED lights show you which network is currently being used.

The modem is currently only available for business customers but will be available to the general public in late July. The device is free (after rebate) with a two-year contract. It comes with only one data plan that costs $60/month for unlimited data on the 4G network and 5GB of data on Sprint's 3G network.
