SuperTalent ShuttleCraft SSDs for enterprise storage debut

By: (more) | Storage News | Posted: Jun 23, 2010 4:04 pm

SuperTalent has unveiled a new line of SSDs that strike a geek cord with me. The SSDs are called ShuttleCraft and are aimed at enterprise users. If you say enterprise and shuttle in the same sentence around here and Star Trek comes to mind.

The new SSDs are SAS drives and will come in two families including the S series with SLC NAND flash and M series with MLC NAND flash. The SSDs all feature wear leveling, Bad Block management, ECC, and power failure management.

The ShuttleCraft S series includes a 60GB model and a 120GB version. The M series include a 120GB and a 240GB drive. The drives will land in July.
