Thermaltake BlacX 5G HDD dock breaks cover

Thermaltake is a name well known by many enthusiasts. The company offers all sorts of computer cases and cooling components along with lots of other gear. The company has announced a new USB 3.0 docking station for HDDs today.

 

 

The dock is called the BlacX 5G and has USB 3.0 connectivity. The maximum transfer rate for data is 5Gbps when connected to USB 3.0 and the dock is compatible with older USB specs as well.

 

The dock supports Mac and Windows PCs and can be used with HDDs up to 2TB in capacity. The dock measures 73mm H x 136mm W x 88mm D and sells for $49.99.
