RIM's highly anticipated first jaunt into the touchscreen world, the Blackberry 9800, has had some pictures leaked to the folks at Engadget. While there's no official "name" yet, the 9800 looks to be running Blackberry 6 and labels itself a "world phone" supporting WCDMA bands I, II, V, and VI. This should mean 3G ability in places like Europe and Japan. With the slideout keyboard (you would expect anything less from Blackberry?) and simple, slick looks, this looks like it could be an excellent first jaunt into touchscreen smartphones currently dominated by the iPhones and Androids of the world.
