Demo of MeeGo for tablets released by Intel
With all of the phone frenzy lately, tablets have taken a bit of a backseat in the public eye the last few days. Intel and Nokia changed that a bit though as they released a video demo of their Linux-based MeeGo OS for tablet devices.
The video gives a sneak peek at functions like multitasking, intergrated social networking, and multitouch support as well as a host of other features that make this a promising looking OS.
Bob Duffy, who released the video on his blog at Intel, stated: "From the Atom Developer Program side I can tell you we are excited about MeeGo. And we will be in the middle of this, helping developers get MeeGo apps developed for devices like shown in this video. We are keenly interested in making sure our site and community gets the information & tools needed to develop & port apps to MeeGo."
