iPhone 4 owners seeing seriously throttled upload speeds in some markets

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jul 7, 2010 3:23 am

As if the iPhone 4 wasn't getting enough bad press around the U.S., now the iPhone 4 users in more than two dozen markets are having problems with severely throttled upload speeds. HSPUA equipped AT&T markets like Boston, New York, and Las Vegas that were seeing speeds of over 1 Mbps have fallen over the weekend to 100 kbps or lower.

The conspiracy theorists want to believe that AT&T has posed a cap on bandwidth due to the popularity of the phone and the possibility of network saturation, but considering that huge markets like Los Angeles are not affected by this that seems to be unlikely. More on the issue as it comes.
