Element Case and Ivyskin look to cash in on iPhone 4 antenna issues

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jul 8, 2010 3:00 am

Having the dreaded iPhone 4 reception issues? Don't like the official iPhone 4 bumper? A couple of companies have released some slick looking iPhone 4 cases that specifically address the antenna and reception issues in their advertising.

Element Case has made available for pre-order their new Vapor case (shown above) provides an aircraft-grade, CNC'd aluminum frame lined with a shock-absorbent material, the latter of which "addresses iPhone 4 reception issues caused by direct hand to phone cradling." Multiple colors will be available in the future but they are starting out with a choice of black on black or black on pink for $79.95 USD.

Not looking to shell out that kind of loot? Ivyskin is releasing a $14.99 USD "iPhone 4 Reception Case." That's the name, and this "world's thinnest polycarbonate shell" is designed to give you the functionality of a case without taking away the sleek design of the phone itself. That case is shown below and as you can see, it is indeed barely there.
