Likea MPH is a cardboard copy of Leica camera

By: (more) | Posted: Jul 9, 2010 3:04 pm

I kind of like those Leica cameras and their old school looks. I don't like the fact that the things tend to cost in the range of $7000 though. If you are like me and you want the Lecia looks in a cheaper package the Likea MPH might be for you.

The Likea MPH is a much cheaper clone of the camera and uses real 35mm film. There are a couple caveats to that Likea camera though.

The first is that it's made from cardboard and you have to assemble it with tape and glue. Seriously. The mechanism that winds the film for the next shot is a high-tech bent paperclip. You can get your own Likea MPH for $19.95 and its reusable assuming you do a good job with the gluing and taping.
