Android the sole smartphones to increase their U.S. marketshare in 2010's second quarter
The second quarter numbers from ComScore are out, and for the period of time ending May 2010 it seems Android is making some major headway in the U.S. smartphone market. Anyone with eyes could see this, but having numbers on paper is always helpful.

According to ComScore's numbers, Google's Android was the only one to take a larger piece of the pie with their market share jumping from 9.0% to 13.0%. The other big boys like RIM, Apple, Microsoft and Palm saw small drops in their market shares that add up to about what Android saw in their increase. Of course, the third quarter scores will probably look a lot different when the iPhone 4 is taken into account, so Google can't sit on their laurels just yet.
