Corning Gorilla Glass headed to HDTV market in 2011
Corning's Gorilla Glass isn't that uncommon in the smartphone market. The glass is used on smartphones like the iPhone 4 and promises more strength and durability than normal glass.

Corning has announced that starting in 2011 Gorilla Glass will come to the HDTV market. The glass will be used in place of normal glass sheets over LCD and plasma TVs.
The new glass will be welcome as long as it doesn't add a lot of money to the price of the sets. Gorilla Glass will make the set less likely to break in the event of a Wii Remote accident.
