"ASUS powered" Windows Phone 7 shows up in Pakistan

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Aug 7, 2010 3:09 am

A tweet from the user Shaistajafri brought a slick looking device that appears to be the first Windows Phone 7 device in the wild. Apparently it belongs to her brother, who lives in Pakistan.

This phone, with its brushed metal finish and having "Powered by ASUS" on the front, also appears to have a front facing camera as well. It seems the tweet and the user have now been removed, but if this is a pre-production model, I'm ready to know more about it. The ASUS tag has surprised a lot of people because they were not tagged as one of the companies contracted to build developer handsets.
