For some people a tablet computer is just a cool bit of tech and for others depending on the way they normally work a tablet can be integral to actually being able to work. Those who work in an environment where they are standing without a desk most of the time will find typing on a normal laptop to be very difficult to do. A tablet on the other hand can be used effectively with a single hand.

Fujitsu has announced new additions to the line of Lifebooks with a few new tablet computers. The new machines are the Lifebook T730 and the TH700. Both of the models have optional GPS and sport embedded 3G connectivity, WiFi, and Bluetooth. Both of the machines have 12.1-inch screens and are designed for portability weighing in at about 1.8kg.

The machines run various processors form the Intel Core 2010 family. The machines are convertible notebooks so they can be used in both tablet and notebook modes. Other features include DVD drives, a second battery, and a Blu-ray combo drive. Both of the machines also have biometric security features with data encryption via an optional TPM.
