FrontFace by Mirabyte adds functionality to WIndows 7 enabled tablets

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Aug 24, 2010 1:32 am

With the large amount of tablets being slated for release by the end of the year, companies are getting to work getting software and tweaks ready for those tablets. The German company Mirabyte is one of those at the forefront with FrontFace; a custom user interface designed to improve upon the GUI of Windows 7 enabled touchscreen devices. Sascha with Netbooknews got to take the preview version for a spin and released this video.

With enlarged icons, a notification center, and an RSS feed reader onboard this looks like a nice addition to the usability of Windows 7, especially on smaller screen tablets. Plenty more is planned for FrontFace before release, such as a customized music, photo, and video viewer. Keep an eye out for FrontFace around the time Windows 7 enabled tablets start hitting stores.
