The new drives are the Minimus and the Rikki. Both of the drives connect to USB 3.0 ports and offer data transfer speeds up to 5Gb/s. Both of the drives are also enclosed in an attractive brushed aluminum chassis. That chassis not only looks good but helps the drives dissipate heat and is recyclable.

The storage products will work with Mac or PC systems, though a reformat may be required. LaCie also includes 10GB of online storage space for buyers.
