Sweden's Elmor and ME4ME win MSI MOA 2010

By: (more) | Trade Shows News | Posted: Sep 11, 2010 12:54 pm

MSI held its Master Overclocking Arena 2010 Grand Final in Taipei today. It's an event that puts the best overclockers around the world (besides our Deanzo of course, since Australia / NZ was sadly not invited this year) against each other with the same set of common hardware components and benchmarks. Whoever manages to push their system the hardest with aid of loads of LN2 win the competition.

As always with these sorts of events, people get lucky. Not all CPUs and video card GPUs overclock the same, they are not all equal. It is really luck of the draw to see if you will get the best parts. No doubt this year one of the three Swedish teams comprising of Elmor and ME4ME got good parts. However, speaking to other overclockers at the event today, most also agreed that both Swedish overclockers are also very talented. It is after all their second win of MOA after also taking home gold at the event in Beijing, China last year.

There are some shots from the closing ceremony and other shots also from the show in the gallery below. Another nice event put on by MSI overall.
