With Apple's latest restriction on apps mellowing out a bit, there are quite a few popular desktop applications that are making their way to the iOS platform. One of these is the VLC Media Player, which says it supports "nearly all codec there is." This little gem makes playing nearly every video and audio file format a piece of cake. The official launch date is stated to be tomorrow but users in the U.S. and U.K. having been grabbing the app with no problem. Give it a try today if you've got an iPad and some videos with funky file formats.
