Habey's tiny BIS-6620 supports 1080p video

By: (more) | Posted: Oct 4, 2010 3:02 pm

Habey has unveiled a new and very small little PC that supports full 1080p video. This little machine will make for a very good HTPC for users like me who want a small machine for watching web video on a big screen, but don't want a full size computer that takes up tons of space. The new offering from Habey is called the BIS-6620-IV.

The tiny little computer can fit in the palm of your hand and measures in at a petit 4.5" x 4.5" x 1.5" and is very quiet. It runs an Atom Z5xx series processor and has an HDMI 1.3 output with digital audio. The machine supports a number of operating systems with Windows Embedded Standard 7, XP, Vista, Linux and more.

The little machine has a DXVA media player and uses the US15W chipset along with Intel GMA500 HD video for hardware decoding. The machine has support for up to 1080p resolution graphics, up to 2GB of RAM, and stores to small SSDs or 1.8-inch HDDs. Connectivity includes five USB ports with a single internal USB port. The computer has a CF reader and SD card reader along with PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports.
