Telstra announce "T-Touch Tab", an Android-based tablet

By: (more) | Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Oct 5, 2010 3:33 am

Today Telstra announced it's plans to release it's own Android-based tablet, the T-Touch Tab which is due in November.

The device will obviously only be available on Telstra's NextG network, similar to their other "T" branded devices, however the T-Touch Tab is different, it's advertised with the "powered by Android technology" trademark.

This goes hand in hand with the announcement from Optus about the Dell Streak, the upcoming release of Samsung's Galaxy Tab (also available on Telstra and Optus).

Will it make a difference to the market? Will it have all sorts of Telstra bloatware all over it? Time will tell, a Telstra executive at the devices briefing this morning said more information will be available over the next few weeks.
