Mobile App of the Day: Skype for Android

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Oct 5, 2010 4:09 pm

Our Mobile App of the Day today is Skype for Android.

Android owners everywhere have been asking for ages for an official app from Skype, and it's finally here. It's time to check out Skype for Android.

If you're already a Skype user, you know the drill: free Skype to Skype calling, free IM sending and receiving, and cheap WiFi or 3G call rates to non-Skype numbers. People who are already Skype members will have full access to their contact lists for an easy transition. If you haven't been down this road yet, this is another great reason to give Skype a try. Connect anywhere in the world via a PC, iOS device, and now via Android devices. Read more about Skype for Android here or grab it directly from your Android mobile device here. Android 2.1 or later is required.
