Mobile App of the Day: Google Goggles for iPhone

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Oct 6, 2010 1:48 pm

Our Mobile App of the Day today is Google Goggles for iPhone.

Google Goggles is a popular image based search program that up until now has only been available on Android devices. This is not the case anymore as Google Goggles has been added to the Google Mobile App in the App Store.

Google Goggles allows you to use your iPhone or iPod Touch's camera to take a picture of a landmark, a book, a bottle of wine, and many other items to get more information about them. You can even use the device to photograph a business card and have the info stored in your contact information. Items like people, animals, and cars are not identifiable for now.

Google Goggles is limited to iOS4 devices with cameras like the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and the newest iPod Touch. The Google Mobile App with Google Goggles is free at the App Store so pick it up and start learning more about the world around you!
