Skype for Android hack allows 3G calls in the U.S.

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Oct 7, 2010 8:03 pm

The announcement of Skype's official Android app was a long time coming for Android fans, but folks in the U.S. were quite disappointed when it was found that 3G calls were a no-go. Well, the rooting community has worked their magic again and come up with a 3G solution for Android's Skype app.

Xeudoxus over at Droid Forums is the guy that sprinkled his magic over the Skype app to make it 3G capable in the U.S., and now you don't have to be tied to a WiFi point to enjoy some Skype calling. Ready to give it a try? According to the posts, no rooting is necessary so check out the download links and instructions here.
