Proposed Android/iPhone app by Yahoo would bring mobile to PC video calling

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Oct 9, 2010 7:51 pm

An app may be on the way from Yahoo that will bring video calls over WiFI as well as carrier networks to Android devices as well as iPhone. According to Yahoo, this free app would use Yahoo Messenger to support both mobile to mobile and mobile to PC video calling.

While the app shouldn't have too much trouble hitting the Android Market, Apple of course always has their own rules. While this app may be considered a competitor to FaceTime, other apps like Fring and Tango have been approved that have similar function so there shouldn't be a lot of trouble on that front either.
